We, the members of Zone 31, agree that we want our learning space to be somewhere that we all feel comfortable being and safe. We have decided that this is what it looks like in Zone 31.
The People
We agree to look after each other by:
- Saying please and thank you.
- Using nice words when we talk to each other.
- Filling each other’s buckets.
- Listening when someone is speaking to us.
- Using inside quiet voices.
- Keeping our hands and feet to ourselves.
- Helping each other to do the right thing.
The Learning
We agree to look after our learning by:
- Sitting responsibly.
- Organising our learning equipment to be ready before school.
- Finishing our learning task by the date set.
- Asking for help when we need it.
- Giving each other feedback and feedforward about our learning.
- Waiting for our turn to share.
- Sharing our ideas sensibly.
- Taking pride in all of our learning tasks.
Ō Tātou Wāhi - Our Place
We agree to look after our learning space by:
- Keeping our area clean.
- Pushing in our chairs.
- Putting rubbish in the right bins.
- Packing away our activities in the right place.
- Putting away our learning equipment in the right place tidily.
- Being Kaitiaki/guardians of our environment.
- Respecting the work of others and looking after the resources carefully.
“Mehemea ka moemoeā ahau, ko ahau anake; Mehemea ka moemoeā a tātou, ka taea e tātou”
“When I dream, I dream alone; When we dream together, we achieve together”
“Ko au ko koe, ko koe ko au.”
“Me you, you me; We all look after each other.”
